President & Founder

Brittany Kosin, RN, serves as the President of the Board for PA KidsFest, bringing a wealth of experience in healthcare and a passion for community service to her role. As a registered nurse with a background in emergency room care and over 15 years of experience as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, Brittany is deeply committed to the health and well-being of her community. Her leadership at PA KidsFest reflects this commitment, as she works to ensure that every event and program supports children’s growth, education, and health.

In her role as Board President, Brittany oversees the development of PA KidsFest’s key initiatives, including providing school supplies for underprivileged children, offering Pre-K scholarships, and funding tutoring services for students in need. Her vision for PA KidsFest is one of inclusivity and empowerment, where every child has the resources and support they need to thrive.

Brittany’s dedication to serving families and children is rooted in her nursing background and her drive to create a positive impact. Under her leadership, PA KidsFest continues to grow as a vibrant community resource, bringing together families, businesses, and nonprofits in support of Pennsylvania’s next generation.

Stacey Pucci

Treasurer
Bio

Stacey Pucci serves as the Treasurer for PA KidsFest, where her extensive experience in finance, community service, and youth mentorship plays an essential role in ensuring the organization’s financial health and sustainability. A graduate of Lehigh Carbon Community College, Stacey has over 17 years of experience with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, where she demonstrated her commitment to public service and integrity. Prior to her work in corrections, she spent valuable years tutoring and mentoring at-risk youth in Brooklyn, NY, fostering a supportive environment for young people in challenging circumstances.

In addition to her work in public service, Stacey brings a wealth of bookkeeping experience from several businesses and has previously held the role of treasurer for her local union, where she skillfully managed budgets and financial records. Her diverse background in finance and community engagement equips her with a unique perspective on supporting PA KidsFest’s mission.

Stacey’s dedication to PA KidsFest reflects her passion for empowering children and giving back to the community. Her financial expertise ensures that PA KidsFest can continue to grow and provide essential resources for families and children across Pennsylvania.

Dr. TJ Kosin

Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator
Bio

TJ Kosin serves as the Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator for PA KidsFest, where he brings a strong background in leadership, community service, and compassionate counseling. A former Chief of the Colwyn Boro Fire Company, TJ has dedicated much of his life to serving others, both as a firefighter/EMT and as a leader in emergency services. His extensive experience in high-stakes environments has honed his skills in team coordination and community support, making him an invaluable asset to PA KidsFest.

In addition to his public service, TJ is a certified Christian counselor, ordained Christian minister, and holds a Doctor of Divinity degree. His commitment to faith and his compassion for others have guided his work as a counselor, where he provides support and guidance to individuals and families. As PA KidsFest’s Volunteer Coordinator, TJ applies this compassionate leadership, inspiring volunteers and ensuring a welcoming, impactful experience for everyone involved.

With a deep commitment to community service and faith, TJ’s role at PA KidsFest allows him to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of families and children across Pennsylvania. His unique blend of skills and experience ensures that PA KidsFest operates smoothly, with a dedicated team working to empower and support the next generation.

Dr. Sylvia Cole

Board Member
Bio

Dr. Sylvia Cole is a dynamic and accomplished educator, therapist, and military veteran with a passion for fostering growth and resilience in individuals and communities. With a Ph.D. in Higher Education and an Ed.D. in Educational Psychology and Technology, she brings a wealth of expertise in innovative learning strategies and student development. Dr. Cole also holds master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as Elementary Education with a focus on English as a Second Language, making her uniquely equipped to support diverse learners and address complex educational and personal challenges.

As a military veteran, Dr. Cole’s leadership and adaptability have shaped her approach to education, blending discipline with compassion. She has dedicated her career to empowering students, families, and colleagues by creating inclusive environments that promote lifelong learning and holistic well-being. Whether developing cutting-edge educational programs, mentoring students, or facilitating therapeutic interventions, Dr. Cole is committed to making a positive and lasting impact.

Kate Fisher, M.S. Ed.

Board Member, Sponsorship, and Social Media Coordinator

Kate Fisher is the owner of Sprucestone Learning and a valued Board Member of PA KidsFest, where she also contributes as the Sponsorship and Social Media Coordinator. With a Master of Science in Education, Kate has built a career dedicated to enhancing early childhood education, accessibility, and family-centered programming. Her dual roles in sponsorship and social media coordination at PA KidsFest allow her to foster partnerships and broaden the event’s reach, making a positive impact on children and families across Pennsylvania.

In addition to her work with PA KidsFest, Kate’s role as the founder and owner of Sprucestone Learning enables her to provide personalized, innovative educational services that nurture curiosity and potential in young learners. Through Sprucestone Learning, she empowers students by offering individualized support, fostering a love for learning, and building strong foundations for academic success.

Kate’s passion for education and community engagement drives her commitment to making a difference in the lives of children. Her expertise and dedication help ensure that PA KidsFest continues to thrive as a resource for families and a beacon for educational equity and opportunity.

Timothy Harris

Board Member
Bio

Tim Harris is a dedicated Executive Director with over 16 years of experience leading non-profits in business development, operations, and program management. Inspired by his parents’ lifelong commitment to community service, Tim continues to channel his passion into impactful non-profit work. His leadership style reflects a blend of compassion, strategic growth, and a drive to create positive change.

Before transitioning to the non-profit sector, Tim spent 18 years in the corporate world as a Field Operations Director in the copy and printing industries. His diverse background also includes five years as a Fugitive Recovery Agent in California, showcasing his adaptability and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.

Tim shares his life with his wife, Kathy, and their blended family of seven children, six grandchildren, and six energetic dogs. When he’s not leading initiatives, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, boating on the lake, or playing and watching baseball – his favorite sport. His love for sports extends to football, golf, snow skiing, and anything that gets him outdoors with his kids.

Tim’s unwavering dedication to both his family and community underscores his leadership philosophy, ensuring he continues to make a lasting impact in every organization he serves.

Chelsey McGuire

Chelsey McGuire is a dedicated Board Member and Director of Human Resources at PA KidsFest, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. With over three years of experience in human resources, Chelsey is committed to cultivating a workplace culture where every team member feels valued and inspired. Her leadership and ability to connect with others contribute to the ongoing growth and success of PA KidsFest.

In addition to her role at PA KidsFest, Chelsey is a devoted mother of three, balancing the demands of work and family life with humor and grace. Her passion for community involvement and her natural talent for relationship-building make her an essential part of the organization’s leadership team.

Chelsey’s enthusiasm for supporting others extends beyond the workplace. She enjoys outdoor adventures, baking, and spending quality time with her family. Whether she’s cheering on the sidelines at soccer games or exploring new hiking trails, Chelsey brings energy and positivity to every aspect of her life.

Denika Smith Scott

Denika Smith Scott is a dynamic Compliance Officer at SEAEDD, where she leverages her expertise in organizational leadership and market analysis to drive strategic initiatives and ensure regulatory adherence. With over a decade of experience spanning education, athletic coordination, and community development, Denika plays a pivotal role in fostering operational excellence and community engagement.

In addition to her role at SEAEDD, Denika serves as a Housing Counselor at Community Unlimited, addressing diverse housing challenges and empowering individuals through financial readiness, credit improvement, and homeownership counseling. Her background as a Business Manager and Grant Manager at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff reflects her dedication to higher education, faculty development, and student success.

Denika’s passion for mentorship and youth development extends into her community involvement, where she has volunteered for Special Olympics and Senior Olympics for over two decades. As a coach, educator, and motivational speaker for inter-city youth, she inspires the next generation to reach their full potential.

Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Walden University (expected May 2024), Denika holds a Master of Education and multiple certifications in fitness, first aid, and health club management. Her drive for excellence, commitment to service, and dedication to fostering growth make her an invaluable leader and advocate within the Pine Bluff community.

Deadrian Ficklin

DeAdrian Ficklin is thrilled to join the PA KidsFest board, bringing over 20 years of experience in healthcare and education. As the former Executive Director at Provision Rehab, LLC for 14 years and an educator in the Rapides Parish School District for eight years, DeAdrian has dedicated her career to enriching the lives of youth in Central Louisiana, fostering both academic and holistic growth.

DeAdrian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations, a Master of Arts in Student Personnel Services, and a Specialist degree in Educational Technology. Her passion for empowering children and creating meaningful learning experiences reflects her deep commitment to community service and education.

A proud native of Winn Parish, DeAdrian now resides in Alexandria with her husband, Larry, and their daughter, Gianna. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, family movie nights on the patio, and supporting her daughter at competitive cheer competitions. DeAdrian’s dedication to nurturing young minds and her enthusiasm for community engagement make her a valuable addition to the PA KidsFest board.
